The NORFIL Training and Research Center was established in 1997 to further hone the knowledge and skills of NORFIL staff as well as to share the expertise that the senior staff has achieved over the years especially in community-based and alternative family care approaches and community-based rehabilitation for persons with disabilities. The training participants are social welfare and social development workers of Local Government Units (LGU) as well as social workers and caregivers in child caring/placement agencies nationwide.  The Center also provides packaged training modules customized to specific needs of child and youth welfare agencies and conducted in their respective venues.  NORFIL believes in training that directly results to improved delivery of social services to children and youth.  It also provides consultancy services to other social development organizations.

We also offer our training facility to other groups for a reasonable but competitive rate.  It is equipped with a good sound system, multimedia and overhead projectors, WIFI, and other advanced training and presentation equipment.  Our conference room can accommodate 100 persons.  It is equipped with sliding dividers that divides the big conference room into three (3) smaller facilities for simultaneous sessions.  The building maintains an elevator big enough for wheelchair users.  

Our Center also includes lodging rooms with TV and toilet and bath for 36 live-in participants.

NORFIL Canteen caters to lodgers and activity participants.  We have a wide range of set menu to choose from for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for in-house activity catering.
