Position Summary

Responsible for the efficient and effective provision of accounting services

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the formulation, enhancement and implementation of effective financial management systems and internal controls that would adequately safeguard the agency’s funds and properties
  • Take part in overseeing the implementation of the accounting system, policies and procedures
  • As part of the 4-member Accounting Team, will be mainly involved in the execution of recording and summarizing tasks in General Accounting
  • Monitor specific asset and liability accounts
  • Prepare bank reconciliation reports for specific cash accounts
  • Monitor budget for specific major funders/donors and alerts Supervisor regarding variances
  • Prepare schedules and working papers for the Year-End Audit
Others
  • Serve as back-up resource in the absence of other team members
  • Perform other related functions as may be directed by the Immediate Superior.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and other related courses
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of two (2) years of financial work experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory job
  • Work experience in non-government organization is an advantage
