Position Summary
Primarily responsible for case management, recruitment, direct implementation and supervision of Foster Care programs and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Foster Care
Foster Children
- Facilitate admission and discharge of children
- Prepare case study reports of children
- Prepare monthly child-care supplies and allowances of foster children
- Conduct monthly supervisory visits to all children in foster homes, maintain updated recordings and prepare progress reports
- Facilitate permanent placement of foster children
- Attend and present in the local and inter-country matching conferences
Foster Parents
- Conduct eligibility assessment for individuals, families, and communities applying for Foster Care service
- Assist foster parents during admission and discharge of foster children
- Prepare and update home study reports
- Prepare monthly subsidy
- Provide assistance to the foster parents during hospitalization, evaluations and check-ups of foster children
- Prepare and facilitate capacity building activities
- Provide counselling to foster parents with regards to the issues that concerns fostering
Advocacy
- Conduct forum/orientation to recruit and develop foster families
- Coordinate and establish partnership with LGUs for possible conduct of forum/orientation, home and case findings
- Promote Foster Care when attending meetings/trainings
Others
- Conduct regular supervision visits to foster families
- Prepare and submit monthly updates, reports and activity plans to Immediate Supervisor
- Attend meetings/seminars convened by the Immediate Supervisor and/or Executive Director
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Immediate Superior
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- Licensed Social Worker
- Willing to work with children and people with disabilities
- Previous experience in a child-welfare agency is an advantage
