Position Summary

The end of project funding from major donor organization has initiated the streamlining of tasks and deliverables of the Foundation’s programs. One of the organizational need identified that supports streamlining is how we take on our advocacies, and generate the funding and resource support needed to implement programs addressing such social issues. It is of this premise that we are merging our resource mobilization officer and the communications officer positions into one position, making the position complementary and harmonized thus, communicating and at the same time generating resource support. This position shall be responsible for the design, development, execution, monitoring and evaluation of NORFIL’s communication and resource mobilization plan.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a communications and resource mobilization policies and plans.
    Lead the implementation of the approved communications and resource mobilization plan.
  • Prepare and develop project proposals, project concept notes as well as organize fundraising strategies and awareness raising events / campaigns in close collaboration with all programs to enable and ensure integrated and centralized efforts.
  • Source out, recruit and generate supportive partner agencies, donors and funding agencies.
  • Manage the Foundation’s website and social media accounts by developing engaging contents and improved digital marketing activities.
  • Lead the organization in the preparation of the newsletters, annual reports, media releases and collateral materials, content and messaging creation, press releases, website contents, and social media posts.
  • Facilitate stronger relationship with government and non-government organizations, partner agencies, donors, supporters and volunteers through but not limited to networking activities, release of regular organization and/or program updates and/or leading the learning visit to project sites.
  • Create and regularly update database of grants or donation records, and grant or donor information.
  • Monitor and evaluate resource mobilization and communications plan (specifically track campaign analytics and maintain digital media archives as well as partners database).
  • Submit regular updates and management reports to the Deputy Director, Executive Director and the Board of Trustees.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Deputy Director and/or Executive Director.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Development Communications, Social Sciences and other related courses.
  • At least three (3) years of working experience in communication management, fundraising, public relations, as well as generating resources for program funds.
  • Work experience in non-government organization is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in using Pagemaker, PhotoShop or any related pagination or editing software
  • Willing to work with children and people with disabilities
