Position Summary

Primarily responsible for the implementation therapeutic services through holistic direction intervention and community-based approaches for children and youth with disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Child Development

    • Conduct physical/occupational therapeutic assessment and formulate individualized intervention plan and home management program for each child and youth with disability
    • Conduct actual therapy process by individual instruction method in a home setting for children with disabilities
    • Develop instructional materials
    • Monitor the children’s progress and learnings
    • Submit behavioral observation reports periodically
    • Conduct home and field visits to determine the progress of home management program implementations
    • Conduct re-assessment at the end of the specific period and submit progress report
    • Conduct capacity building activities to children and youth with disabilities, persons with disabilities, families, and communities /other stakeholders
    • Provide recommendations to the family of the children with regard to handling, teaching and training of the child
    • Coordinate with area-based partners, child development workers, in carrying out the activities and home management program for students.

Networking and Partnership Building

    • Mobilizes community resources to help and facilitate rehabilitation and development of individuals and/or families
    • Establishes and sustains effective working partnership with children and youth with disabilities, Organization of Persons with Disabilities, families, local government units and communities/other service providers
    • Represents the organization in the different committees/councils at the barangay and municipal levels


    • Applies innovative approaches and promote good practices to support the implementation and delivery of concrete and sustainable program result.
    • Submits reportorial requirements regularly
    • Complies with admin, personnel and financial policies
    • Attends meetings convened by the Immediate Supervisor, Program Manager and/or Executive Director
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor and/or Program Manager


  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical/Occupational Therapy
  • Licensed Physical Therapist
  • At least one (1) year of professional experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience in a non-government organization and/or working with people with disabilities is an advantage
